Refurbishment work gets underway!

Mark from M.Snutch Building and Contractors Ltd., Jan from the Jan Parnham Trust and Laura from Williams Architects Ltd meet to sign off the final plans for the refurbishment project.

After months (years!) of planning it’s great to see that the planned refurbishment of the Long Acre Arts building is finally underway. This will create a modernised building with three separate rentable areas, the main hall, the stage room and the back room (large, medium and small) as well as service areas, kitchen, toilets etc.

With a new heating system, better insulation, and upgraded lighting it will be a cosy, functional and warm place for us to create and support all kinds of artistic and creative actvities in the near future providing Bingham with a much needed creative hub!

Jan said “I am so excited that we have reached this milestone and can’t wait to see the centre up and running next year with all kinds of activites, and to see the building being used again for creative purposes for all the people of Bingham will be marvelous”

The timeline for the project is still being finalised but certainly by spring/summer next year we will be fully up and running!

The old partition is already down giving a sense of how big the main hall will be.
